Construction Machinery

Companies that manufacture construction equipment need safe, reliable work platforms to keep production lines moving. High-performance personnel lifts reduce setup times and increase workplace safety compared to relying solely on ladders or scaffolding. LPI Lift Systems offers a complete lineup of solutions that maximize productivity for molding, assembly, blasting, painting and other manufacturing processes.

Man Lifts for Construction Machinery Manufacturing and Maintenance

We offer standard and custom-made work platforms that are compatible with your facility’s existing setup. Depending on your production needs, you can choose from various power options, from hydraulic-pneumatic drives for hazardous areas to intrinsically safe electric units for general assembly. Platforms are available in multiple sizes and weight capacities.

Examples of the models we offer include:

  • 2-axis lifts: High vertical elevation with extended horizontal outreach is ideal for accessing frames, booms, cabs and undercarriages.
  • Heavy-duty scissor platforms: These units can handle multiple workers, tools and materials, helping minimize the number of trips from the floor.
  • Rail-guided platforms: These lifts provide repeatable line-side paths across fixtures, booths and assembly stations.
  • Overhead and wall-mounted options: These work platforms maximize space efficiency in facilities with structural constraints or limited floorspace.

Benefits of Our Personnel Lifts for Construction Equipment

Choosing our lift solutions for heavy-equipment manufacturing, assembly or maintenance allows you to experience many benefits, including:

  • Enhanced safety: Protected platforms, stable positioning and certified tie-off points help reduce workplace incidents.
  • Increased efficiency: Precise positioning speeds masking, seam sealing, glazing and fastener installation times.
  • Better ergonomics: Workers stretch and strain less during repetitive painting, welding, torquing and routing operations.
  • Comprehensive access: Platforms can access hard-to-reach areas like cab roofs, engine covers, counterweights, booms, buckets, axles and undercarriages.

LPI offers an option for trained technicians to assist with the start-up and installation of your LPI industrial lifts which includes training for both your operators and your maintenance personnel. This service is also available after the sale as a refresher or augmentation to your current training or maintenance program. To learn more about Lift Operator Training, Start-Up Installation, and Lift Maintenance Programs, please contact LPI customer service or call 1-800-657-6956

Lifts should be inspected at least once a year, and more often if they’re used heavily or in harsh environments. Key wear items should be checked during routine maintenance, and any parts showing damage or excessive wear should be replaced right away. We recommend following your facility’s safety practices along with the inspection and maintenance guidance outlined in ANSI A92.22 Sections 5.4 and 5.5 to keep your lift operating safely and reliably.

Installation instructions are located in the Operators Manual that comes with your lift system (located in the plastic holder in the operator platform). Lifts should only be installed by qualified personnel. If you have any questions with regard to the installation of your lifts, please contact LPI customer service or call 1-800-657-6956.
