Manually Positioned Scissor Lift

SPHT Series

The SPHT lift is a pneumatic, manually positioned scissor lift built for the toughest industrial jobs, from painting and powder coating to welding and fabrication. The lift’s built-in transport handle makes it easy to move wherever stable, elevated access is needed — even in hazardous environments. With over a century of combined engineering experience behind every lift, LPI Lift Systems delivers equipment that will boost your efficiency, productivity and comfort.

Surface Finishing and Fabrication Applications

The SPHT handles elevated work for a range of applications, including in environments where electric lifts create potential fire hazards. Primary uses include:

  • Paint booth operations: Workers can sand, mask and paint large equipment without constantly repositioning ladders or scaffolding.
  • Powder coating: The SPHT moves between coating stations while maintaining explosion-proof operation in hazardous environments.
  • Welding and fabrication: Fabricators use the SPHT for structural welding at height, where sparks and grinding require high-performance pneumatic equipment.

Technical Capabilities and Performance

  • Positioning: The built-in retractable T-handle with a 6in steering wheel moves the lift like a pallet jack. The handle’s safety switch prevents operation when the handle is down.
  • Height range: The work platform travels from 13.5in lowered to 11ft-11in. This range handles most elevated maintenance and coating work without the need for repositioning.
  • Vertical ascent speed: 15ft/min
  • Platform capacity: The 66-by-30in work surface supports up to 500 pounds. The platform also has 43.5in guard rails and a self-closing entry gate for maximum worker protection.
  • Pneumatic power: This unit requires compressed air at 50 scfm at 90 psi for operation. The primary air connection uses a 1/2in NPT fitting, and the auxiliary connection uses 3/8in NPT for powering tools.
  • Safety systems: The holding valve prevents uncontrolled descent during operation. All pneumatic components eliminate electrical ignition sources in classified areas.
  • Customization: In addition to our standard configuration, our engineers can tailor the SPHT series with various features and options to meet your operational needs.
