Tasks related to painting, finishing and assembling aircraft and aerospace equipment require platforms that can maneuver at heights and in tight spaces without sacrificing worker safety. Complex projects often need custom-built lifts that provide maximum access to curved fuselages, angled wings and other critical components. LPI Lift Systems offers a complete lineup of personnel lifts and access platforms that improve efficiency and production quality for these applications.
Commercial and private aircraft manufacturers, military contractors and space exploration companies rely on our equipment for various applications, including:
Our custom and standard personnel lifts for aircraft and maintenance provide the reach and elevation needed for most indoor manufacturing, finishing and inspection applications. Whether you’re working on commercial aircraft, military systems or space exploration equipment, we have a solution.
We offer access lifts for aircraft, spacecraft and aerospace equipment with features like:
The combination of horizontal and outward reach boosts productivity in painting and surface finishing applications.
Manually positioned scissor lifts wrap around planes, spacecraft and aerospace equipment to provide workers 360-degree access.
Proximity sensors and safety beacons help provide accurate placement without contacting sensitive aircraft surfaces.
Tip-down front railings adjust to fuselage curves, while individual slide-outs fill gaps between the platform and aircraft body.

LPI offers an option for trained technicians to assist with the start-up and installation of your LPI industrial lifts which includes training for both your operators and your maintenance personnel. This service is also available after the sale as a refresher or augmentation to your current training or maintenance program. Lifts should be inspected at least once a year, and more often if they’re used heavily or in harsh environments. Key wear items should be checked during routine maintenance, and any parts showing damage or excessive wear should be replaced right away. We recommend following your facility’s safety practices along with the inspection and maintenance guidance outlined in ANSI A92.22 Sections 5.4 and 5.5 to keep your lift operating safely and reliably.
Installation instructions are located in the Operators Manual that comes with your lift system (located in the plastic holder in the operator platform). Lifts should only be installed by qualified personnel. If you have any questions with regard to the installation of your lifts, please contact LPI customer service or call 1-800-657-6956.
