This adjustable-height scissor lift, designed for use in the aerospace industry, features a custom platform with a side railing that swings down from the wall to allow long parts to be loaded from the side onto tooling positioned in the center of the platform. The platform includes an open center section to accommodate product support tooling. Once the part is positioned and secured, the side guardrail is rotated back into a vertical position. Platform-mounted light curtains detect the presence of parts and personnel and are integrated with the manufacturing control system to ensure safety. The lift is powered and controlled by a remote power unit, with operator controls located both on the platform and at the remote station. Utility connections are provided for tools and equipment used during the work process, while safety strobes and audible alarms alert personnel to any platform movement.
